Bugger.

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 27, 2009, 4:21 PM

Sorry, ya'll; I know I've been lazy with the updates. I kinda suck, and I apologize for it.

I really haven't been feeling very artistic lately, at least not with the photography bit. I've been doing a lot more hand-crafting this year, making wreathes and crocheting. I just haven't felt like taking photos; I haven't had any inspiration or models to take photos of, so I feel kinda bleh about it all.

Which sucks, 'cause I love photography.

So, I apologize. It seems like I do that a lot around here. :\

Hi there! Just had to ask: is your avatar Lucy from "Elfen Lied"? I have another friend named Kit(~Kit-the-Pyro) on dA, of whom I did an Elfen Lied cosplay, and I just thought it an amazing coincidence that you happened across my page. ^_^

:icongirl-screams:
It is Lucy! :) I found your page through ... Hmmm... I think it was the Cosplay community on LiveJournal? Or possibly someone through here that did a Lucy cosplay? I really don't remember. Whoever it was said that you're an awesome photographer, so I was hoping to see more of your work! :)
:iconroget:
Ah, you would certainly have run across my stuff if you frequent the cosplay community on LJ. I've done shoots for several people at this point, though I still consider my con documentary work more of a sidebar to my own creative efforts in bodypainting and digital portraiture. Love your Lucy cosplay..more than likely you ran across ~TheSinisterLove's page; she was one of the subjects in my most recent Elfen Lied shoot. You can check out more of my cosplay galleries on [link] There are quite a few cons listed on there.

I'm still trying to decide the best way to post things like that on dA, too, since several people have asked for my work to be in one location. :D

Yes, yes! :devTheSinisherLove:'s is who it was! The shots were wonderful!

You don't, by any change, intend to ever do Sakuracon, do you? :D

And I'm so glad that you like the cosplay. It's going through a bit of a metamorphosis, if you will. I hope to have it all back together and ready to go before I get back to Washington next summer.
:iconroget:
Nah, Sakuracon is not currently on my rotation of conventions, since it isn't on a convenient 3-days weekend. I go to Fanime (Memorial Day Weekend), AX (4th of July), and Kumoricon (Labor Day Weekend) every year. K-con is up in Portland, and I know a ton of people who easily attend both cons; you should check it out, i think you'd enjoy it!

Good luck with revising your costume--I'm sure it will be spectacular!
